Child and Family Services Memorandum Of Understanding

Whereas;  Champagne and Aishihik First Nations, Kwanlin Dun First Nation, and Carcross Tagish First 
		Nation have all implemented Family and Child Services protocols;

Whereas;  Vuntut Gwitchin First Nation has experienced challenges and many barriers in place that 
		prevents Vuntut Gwitchin Government staff from responding in a timely manner to child 
		welfare related issues:


Therefore Be It Resolved;	

Vuntut Gwitchin First Nation General Assembly directs the development of a Memorandum of 
Understanding for Family and Children Services;

Establishment of a community oversight committee to finalize a process for a multi-level party agreement;

Develop foster care systems for a better voice in decision-making and increased disclosure.
