Gwich'in Cultural Society

Whereas;  We, the Vuntut Gwitchin citizen living in Whitehorse wish to form a non-profit Gwitchin 
		 Cultural Society. 

Whereas;  We, the citizens of Vuntut Gwitchin First Nation wish and need to practice our culture 
		 and traditions

Whereas;  We, the Vuntut Gwitchin citizens living in Whitehorse wish to provide a venue to gather 
		 and practice our culture and traditions for the benefit of our youth

Whereas;  We, the Vuntut Gwitchin citizens living in Whitehorse want to build and strengthen our 
		 community for the benefit of our future generations

Whereas;  Communications and participation with our community of Old Crow is urgently needed:


Therefore Be It Resolved;	

1.	That the GA accept and support the desire of our citizens living in Whitehorse to form a 
Gwitchin Cultural Society; and,

2.	That the society look at opportunities to partner, network and perhaps include all Gwich'in 
First Nations who what to join us; and,

3.	That the society look at long term strategies (i.e. communications, venue to practice culture 
and traditions etc.)
