Resolution No. 2019-15 - Passed by Consensus

Health and Wellness Support for Citizens in Yukon

Whereas; Currently VGG provides supports for health, social and mental well being for Citizens residing
		on settlement land;

Whereas; The majority of our Citizens reside outside of our settlement land and are not getting essential
		supports to thrive and excell in their lives;

Whereas; It is imperative that we provide fair and equitable services as defined pertaining to 16.1
		of the VGFN Self-Government Agreement;

Whereas; Section 2.2 of the Self-Government Agreement states we must promote opportunities for
		well-being of Citizens equal to those of other Canadians, and provide essential public
		services of reasonable quality to all citizens;

Therefore Be It Resolved;

That VGG ties into its strategic and wellness plans, the resources necessary to support all
VGFN Citizens residing in the Yukon;

That VGG allocates reasonable resources to be accessible for programs and service supports for Citizens;

That a terms of reference be drafted to manage the disbursement of said resources, covering such costs as
emergency medical supports, cultural supports, programming, etc.
